Dominique Walker, a working mother who has been homeless; co-founded Moms for housing to bring attention to the shocking number of homeless families while hundreds of corporate-owned homes lay empty. She was elected in November 2020 to the Berkeley, CA Rent Stabilization Board.
Nicole McCormick, a public school teacher and union local president from West Virginia who was a leading voice and organizer of the 2018 West Virginia teachers’ strikes that touched off the Red State Teachers Revolt. Founding and steering committee member of the WV United Caucus.
Maria Estrada, a longtime community organizer, candidate for the California Assembly. Member of the Los Angeles Central Committee Democratic party, President of Southern California League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC)
Jenay Manley, a leader with the Kansas City MO Tenants Union. This mother of twins has experienced housing insecurity since she was a child. Jenay believes that housing is a Black issue and that Black liberation won’t come until we all have safe healthy and stable homes.
